Safety Recalls & Service Campaigns

Occasionally, during the life of a motorcycle, parts may have to be replaced under a manufacturer’s Service Campaign or Safety Recall. Suzuki is committed to working within the Code of Practice on Safety Defects with regards to all Safety Recall actions in the UK and therefore Recall and Service Campaigns are introduced by Suzuki when deemed necessary.

  • A Safety Recall is a modification that is considered to be safety related. In this case the owner is notified of the issue and requested to arrange to visit their local Suzuki Dealer for the necessary modifications to be carried out. Safety Recalls are monitored by the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).
  • A Service Campaign is initiated when a Suzuki part is not performing to its optimum standard and when the required modification is considered not to be safety related. The work can be undertaken during routine servicing or repair, but we do notify owners so it can be completed at any time.

Both Service Campaigns and Safety Recalls are undertaken free of charge

AA Roadside Assistance

If you've been a Suzuki rider for a long time, you'll no doubt have noticed that our motorcycles go from strength to strength. In fact we pride ourselves on designing and producing some of the most reliable motorcycles you can buy. Unfortunately we still haven't produced a key that's impossible to lose, a flat tyre that pumps itself up, or a motorcycle that keeps going when you've run out of petrol. But until we get these points mastered, we have our AA Suzuki Assistance Team. In the event of a breakdown or an accident, you can give us a call on 0800 917 0656, and help will be on its way.

AA Suzuki Assistance is available with every new Suzuki On-Road Motorcycle from the date of purchase for 1 year and covers the following…

  • Roadside Assistance - If the machine cannot be repaired at the roadside, then arrangements will be made to take it to the nearest authorised Suzuki Dealer or another destination of your choice.
  • Home Start - This will bring help to your doorstep. Like Roadside Assistance, if it cannot be repaired at your home the AA will transport your machine to the nearest authorised Suzuki Dealer or another destination of your choice.
  • Relay - If a prompt local repair at the roadside is not possible, we will arrange onward passage for you, one passenger and your machine (including trailer/side-car on tow at any time, all subject to restrictions and eligibility) to any single mainland UK destination. This includes The Isle of Man, Northern Island and the Channel Islands; however, any ferry costs must be borne by you.
  • Message Service - If you wish, we can also get a message to a relative or colleague to let them know what is happening.

Of course, we hope you never actually have to use any of them; but isn't it good to know they're there?
