Suzuki supports FleeceBind Blowfly Lottery competition

Suzuki ATV was pleased to hand over this KingQuad 400 worth £5,500 to Mr Evans, winner of Elanco Animal Health’s ‘Don’t play the blowfly lottery’ FleeceBind competition.

With the blowfly season reportedly starting earlier and lasting longer, the campaign was designed to highlight its unpredictable nature and to warn flock managers about the risks of gambling with treatment.

On winning the competition, Mr Evans who is a sheep farmer on the Hiraethog Mountain in Wales, said, “I’ve never won anything substantial before, so to win something that will make such a big difference to my working life is really special.”

The KingQuad 400, powered by Suzuki's efficient, fuel-injected 376cc engine, delivers plenty of smooth power and torque. And with its selectable 2 and 4-wheel drive, high and low ratios, independent front suspension and dual hydraulic disc breaks up front, steep, wet and uneven ground can be tackled with complete confidence.

Explaining how his new Suzuki KingQuad 400 prize will make a big difference to his work, Mr Evans continued, “Farming on a mountainside, frequent journeys up and down the hill can become tiring. I’m not getting any younger, so winning the quad bike is going to make a huge difference to me, and my sheep dogs, who can travel on the back!"
